Food Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager Core Talent are working with a food manufacturing market leader in their field to recruit a site Engineering & Maintenance Manager for a fast-paced site in Melbourne's North.
The Role:
Working with cross-functional departments to ensure system performance and culture.
Drive and lead safety culture in the engineering team with strong development and implementation of housekeeping and strategies.
Drive preventative maintenance schedules and manage quality of engineering works to standard.
Work closely with the manufacturing team, quality assurance, research, and development to prevent problems with products and tooling fixtures.
Ensure all trade training is up to date and compliant with internal training requirements.
Support all current and new product introductions by being involved in the planning and trailing process.
Ensure compliance to quality systems to guarantee and improve product quality.
Directly manage a team of trade technicians on site.
Responsible for managing tasks, monitoring performance, managing rosters, implementing and managing processes and procedures, and responsible for all WH&S requirements/procedures, fostering a positive and collaborative team culture.
Work closely with Continuous Improvement to identify opportunities for improvement and implement agreed changes and measure results.
The Successful Candidate:
Proven FMCG maintenance management background.
Experience in production management, organisation and planning, and problem-solving methods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and relationship management.
Strong and demonstrable leadership skills.
Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to build rapport and influence.
Thorough understanding of HACCP, GMP, and Australian Standards.
