Food manufacturing 2IC opportunity with a prominent manufacturing company.Located in Bundaberg (15-minute drive to local beaches / Bargara).Fast-paced and commercial environment with a strong collaborative culture.We are currently searching for an inspirational 2IC to lead a food production team in achieving success in efficiency flows and problem solving. About the role: Reporting to the Process Coordinator & Process Lead, you will be a positive and upbeat individual who can lead a team in a mature, confident, and positive manner during overseers' absence.
Key Responsibilities: Leading a team of process operators manufacturing quality food products for Australian and export customers.Following SOPs to achieve required manufacturing metrics and quality standards while minimising waste.Following GMP and HACCP practices to ensure high processing standards and compliance.Actively promote hygiene and WHS procedures so they are understood and valued by every team member.Lead and develop your team to build reliability, efficiency, and safe work outcomes.Work experience & skills: Previous supervision or 2IC experience in food processing, manufacturing, or similar.Effective, efficient, and fair in communication and delegation style.Proven ability to motivate a team to meet time priorities and performance targets.Established problem-solving skills and lateral thinking capability.Demonstrated experience in engaging, motivating, and mentoring a team.Experience in or ability to learn packing/dispatch software and other information platforms.This role is central to the ongoing success of the organisation. It requires attention to detail combined with pragmatism necessary to complete tasks; understanding and adhering to processes with an ability to recognise inefficiencies and embrace improvements.
This permanent role is located in Bundaberg. Although based around daylight hours, you may be required to work either AM or PM shifts from time to time.
