We are looking for an exceptional individual to take the next step in their hospitality career!
We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage Manager for Maternity leave cover.
The Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre is Western Australia's premier event destination which is home to some of Perth's most exclusive gala dinners and events, large scale conferences to small boardroom meetings, corporate events, exciting exhibitions, weddings and theatre performances.
About the job As head of the Hospitality Department, our F&B Manager is responsible for a team of Hospitality Managers and Casual Food and Beverage attendants to ensure the seamless and successful delivery of events.
This is a hands-on, client focused, leadership role, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the department.
The F&B Manager is also responsible for the financial efficiencies, and maximising revenue opportunities as well as ensuring all occupational health and safety procedures are maintained and adhered to, fostering a culture of 'Zero Harm' amongst the team.
You will lead by example and strive for constant improvement in the department on a daily basis.
You will be an integral leadership figure within our Team, accustomed to dealing with multiple events and clients.
This role requires a naturally energetic individual who has a passion for the hospitality industry, is able to work in a fast-paced environment and has a proven capacity to work well in a high-pressure environment while leading a team of high performing individuals.
Exceptional Communication skills are critical as the bridge between all departments and our clients as well as the ability to identify operational challenges and ensure compliance to venue policies and procedures.
Responsibilities Run day-to-day operations: Manage the overall operations for the food and beverage at PCEC.
Financial Management : manage the department in line with financial objectives and develop financial strategies for growth.
Leadership and Team Development : Train and develop strategies for team growth, promote a positive working environment and champion company culture and values.
Operational Excellence : Implement and monitor quality controls, ensure venue presentation and ambience, and manage stock and resources effectively.
Client Services : Foster a culture of client service excellence and continuously improve our guests and clients experience.
Strategic Objectives : Contribute to company strategic goals, review and develop business strategies, and implement performance management for the team.
What will you bring?
Degree in hospitality management or relevant discipline, or significant industry experience Minimum 3-5 years leading and developing a multi-faceted food and beverage business, with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
Approved Manager Certification Self-motivated, results-oriented, and hands-on leader.
Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Effective communicator with the ability to share your vision with the team.
Drive the strategic direction of F&B operations and ensure the highest standards in the delivery of a memorable experiences.
Manage the high-performing F&B team, drive performance and engagement.
Ensure the right learning and development opportunities are selected to boost the team's performance.
Ensure the food & beverage department adheres to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, brand standards, and Internal Control Procedures.
