About the role Lovedale Bar + Grill at Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Duty Manager to join our team full-time. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, ensuring exceptional service and a seamless experience for our guests. We seek a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about hospitality.
What you'll be doing Supervise and coordinate the front-of-house operations, ensuring all service aspects meet the venue's high standards and guest expectations. Lead, train, and mentor staff to foster a culture of excellence in customer service, enhancing team performance and guest satisfaction. Manage guest inquiries and resolve complaints promptly, ensuring a positive experience for all patrons. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock management to maintain operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as venue policies and procedures, to uphold a safe and secure environment for both guests and staff. Collaborate with the Venue Manager in budgeting and financial management, providing insights into operational performance and cost control. Assist in planning and executing events, coordinating logistics and staff assignments to ensure seamless operations. What we're looking for Significant experience in hospitality management, particularly in a supervisory or management role within a restaurant or bar environment. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency in hospitality management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in a fast-paced environment.
