What is the job?
Food and Beverage is what adds flavour to a stay! Guests love to enjoy delicious, freshly-prepared and beautifully presented food. To deliver a great guest experience – A Food and Beverage Attendant will serve food and beverages in a timely manner, helping guests to have memorable experiences whenever they dine.
Your day to day Creating a warm welcome to everyone and setting the tone for each guest's experiencePrepare food and beverages for service to guests and present food according to established health and presentation standardsLook after your bar – keep it clean and tidy and make sure the alcohol is always secureHandle cash and credit transactionsLook smart – wear your uniform with prideBe ready to jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your helpAlways follow safety proceduresMonitor guest behaviour and guest alcohol consumption to determine when alcohol service to the guest should cease; notify management of incidents involving excessive alcohol consumption or impaired condition of guests; check identification whenever the age of a guest requesting an alcoholic beverage service is questionableClear and clean tables in a prompt and efficient manner. Clean and/or wipe down tables, chairs, walls, windows, mirrors, and floors as necessaryTake action to solve guest problems/complaints and use established guidelines for any service recovery to ensure guest satisfaction, notify team leader on shift of any experienced issuesReceive guest payments and process transactions as outlined in the cash and charge procedures as neededWhat we need from you Excellent RSA serves skillsFitness – you'll be on your feet most of the day with lots of bending and kneelingStrength – sometimes you'll need to lift, push or pull big objects like barrels & crates up to 23 kgLiterate – you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing and basic mathsFlexible – night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the jobExperienced – you'll know how to prepare a wide range of drinks. Ideally with formal bartending trainingCompliant – as well as meeting local laws on food handling and serving alcohol, you'll be above the minimum age required and fluent in the local languageArticulate – a great communicator, you'll be warm, welcoming and easy to talk toHow do I deliver this?
