The FWIN program involves the acquisition, upgrading, integration, and transition to operations of flood warning network assets from council and state-based authorities to the Bureau's flood service. The role works in the Observing Networks Service Management (ONSM) Flood team in the Observing Systems and Operations business unit (OSO).Since the program's success depends on effective integration with the current network, the candidate will be aware of this operating environment and deliver with a long-term perspective on the supportability and success of the enlarged network, adapting their approach as necessary.
