Flood Engineer - Sydney

Location: Sydney, AustraliaExperience Required: 5-10 yearsAbout the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Flood Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in flood modeling and a deep understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles. Proficiency in TUFLOW is essential. As a Senior Flood Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing flood management solutions to protect communities and enhance resilience against flooding.Key Responsibilities:Conduct detailed flood modeling and analysis using TUFLOW software.Develop and implement flood risk management strategies and solutions.Perform hydrologic and hydraulic assessments for various projects.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality flood engineering projects.Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.Engage with clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to flood management.Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
