The flood consultant will oversee and deliver flood impact assessments and flood emergency response plans in a friendly and supportive team, with a growing market leader.

ResponsibilitiesClear communication of flood conditions, government compliance requirements and the impacts of proposed development on flood conditions for upstream and downstream propertiesProject coordination with wider development teamSuccessfully achieve deadlines and milestonesManaging communications between clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders while ensuring the delivery of quality and timely solutionsPreparation of flood studies, floodplain management plans and risk assessmentsCivil Urban Design experience in Civil 3d/12d for public domain spaceInvoicing and budgeting of projectsEnsure quality control processes are implemented and documentedParticipate and positively contribute to meetings and workshopsAdoption, promotion and adherence to the Orion's Quality Management (QMS) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) Systems.Skills and ExpertiseA bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related fields3+ year's experience in civil engineering and flood management-related projectsTechnical proficiency with software packages related to hydraulic modelling and GIS, including TUFLOW, RORB, HEC_RAS, ARCGIS, MIKE, CIVIL 3D and 12DStrong project and client management skills with the ability to work to deadlinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentationsStrong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and a willingness to take on new challenges.Employee BenefitsA range of flexible work optionsCommunity days and cultural celebrationsAccess to innovative technologyEmployee assistance programAnnual performance appraisal and learning & development plansRegular team building activities, social activities and team sportsPaid parental leaveOrion Group highly values diversity and is an equal-opportunity employer.
