Kelton is seeking a skilled Float Driver with a strong work ethic and readiness for the physical demands of machinery freight. If you have experience with heavy vehicles, specifically in float work or oversized machinery, and are prepared for varied tasks in all weather conditions, this role could be a perfect fit.

Based in Queanbeyan they provide an extensive range of Earthmoving Dry Hire machinery in Canberra and surrounding areas, including South Coast, Snowy Mountains and Western NSW.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate a heavy vehicle (HC license required) with an 18-speed non-synchromesh gearbox Perform float work, including handling oversized earthmoving machinery in variable conditions Safely load, transport, and offload machinery as per client requirements Engage in other tasks to meet daily operational needs, including: Ridged truck freight Ute and trailer deliveries Truck and trailer maintenance and repairs Machine cleaning and maintenance Welding and attachment maintenance Candidate Requirements:
Licensing: Minimum HC heavy vehicle license Skills & Experience: Prior float driving experience (preferred); training available for skilled heavy vehicle drivers new to float work Physical fitness, agility, and a solid attendance record Familiarity with operating earthmoving machinery (an advantage) Work Environment: Ability to handle the physical demands of float work Willingness to work varying start and finish times, as needed, to meet client demands Why Join Kelton?
