As teachers, we support these young people to develop their learning confidence, build trusted relationships, and explore suitable education, vocation, and/or employment options. Manor Lakes P-12 College is the lead school which oversees FLIP and all teachers are employed by Manor Lakes P-12 College.
Within FLIP, each student is assigned a teacher who supports their learning program, and together they develop an Individual Education Plan which outlines the goals the student wants to work towards. The learning focus in FLIP is centered around Literacy, Numeracy, Health & Wellbeing activities as well as transition and pathway guidance. The program is primarily online with face-to-face sessions taking place twice a week. We track students' attendance and engagement in the program to constantly monitor their progress. We work closely with allied health, mental health professionals, and external support services to ensure students are well supported. The aim of FLIP is to be a short-term option for students to reconnect with their education and build their skills and confidence to succeed academically and personally.
