Flight Simulator Technicians Rex is Australia's largest independent regional and domestic airline operating a fleet of Saab 340 and Boeing 737-800 NG aircraft to 56 destinations throughout all states in Australia.

An excellent opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and enthusiastic individual to join Regional Express in the role of Flight Simulator Technician.
This is a full-time position located in Sydney (Mascot).
You will apply your technical skills and knowledge to provide maintenance for our Sydney-based Boeing 737 full flight simulator.
Position responsibilities: Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on the simulator and associated simulator systems.
Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulator and associated simulator systems.
Utilise a Maintenance Management System to record and track maintenance activities.
Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks on all simulators.
Conduct ongoing support to visual systems.
Perform software changes to correct problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems.
Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications.
Assist with maintenance of simulators based in other locations.
Perform logistics duties, including parts received, repair and testing/validation.
Perform housekeeping functions to maintain the simulators as required.
Undertake a range of scheduled and ad hoc maintenance tasks.
Play an active role in Rex's workplace health & safety program.
Essential Selection Criteria: High School Certificate or equivalent Further education in the field of electronics, avionics or communications A good understanding of computer and computer networks Practical experience using hand tools and test equipment Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products The ability to interpret data, both written and visual Sound analytical, diagnostic and problem-solving skills A strong commitment to safety, quality and customer service The ability to work in a team as well as independently Conditions: Conditions and wages will be discussed with the successful candidate depending on qualifications and experience.
