Flight Operations Quality Assurance CoordinatorAn exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join the Rex Human Factors Group (comprising of Safety, Compliance/QA & Security) in the full-time role of Flight Operations Quality Assurance Coordinator, which will be located at our Head Office in Mascot, Sydney.You will be responsible for the overall management of Part 142 Quality Assurance activities including the Quality Assurance Management System as described in CASR 142.210.Position Responsibilities:Provides the Rex Group Chief Operating Officers, regular updates on the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance Management System, including:Ongoing corrective, remedial and preventative actionsContinuous ImprovementsProgram maintenanceSafety Promotion initiativesActs as the principal point of contact for Flight Operations Management, gatekeepers and Flight data analysis systems and programsResponsible for providing analysis of operational flight data as well as producing reports and presentations for the Flight Operation Quality Assurance (FOQA) ProgramResponsible for ensuring that daily FOQA events are processed within a reasonable timeframeProvides oversight and management of:The assessment of events and trendsIdentification of operational hazardsEscalation of preventative and corrective actionsValidation of completed actionsExplores new data analysis products and methodologies for data miningCoordinates with Flight Operations and Engineering for data analysis needsActively communicates with FOQA Program members and gatekeepersSupports the Training and Checking departments for the purpose of continuous improvementDevelops, prepares, and presents the analysis of flight dataCreates flight animations of actual events for use in accident and incident investigationsAssists with accident and incident investigationsProvides leadership and subject matter expertise within FOQA Team meetingsParticipates and contributes to the Rex Group Safety Management System and Quality Assurance ProgramActively seeks to identify and enhance flight safety, operational efficiency and complianceProvides training and support to employees involved in the FOQA program (as required)Maintains up to date with latest regulatory requirements, industry standards and best practice related to FOQA and Part 142 Quality AssuranceRepresents the Rex Group at FOQA related industry meetings and seminarsOther duties as reasonably required by the Rex GroupMinimum Requirements:Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Quality Assurance processesDemonstrated leadership experienceA high level of understanding of Safety Management Systems and Quality Assurance ProgramsMust be able to meet the requirements of CASA Part 142 key personnelMust have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of data analyticsMust have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of relevant Civil Aviation Safety Regulations, Civil Aviation Orders and industry best practiceHigh level of proficiency in computers, spreadsheets and data dissemination toolsPrevious experience in flight data programs (EMS/Airfase users preferred)Previous Data analytics leadership experienceExperience or understanding of High Capacity RPT OperationsA completed degree in an aviation related disciplineCPL or higher with pass in ATPL AGK and/or Instrument Rating theoryAn engineering, data analysis or computer science backgroundTo Apply:Please submit your application with a copy of your resume and a covering letter addressing the selection criteria by COB Friday, 3 May 2024.
