ETS is seeking a dedicated and experienced Fleet Operations Supervisor to join our team. This role will be crucial in supervising and providing technical support to our operations workshops across Traralgon, Leongatha, Pakenham, and Lilydale. Additionally, you will offer support to the Bayswater Fleet workshop as needed.
This is a dynamic and hands-on supervisory role. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well in a busy environment, have an energetic and proactive approach to their work and strong analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with supervising and providing technical support to ETS Operations workshops. Ensure fleet equipment is maintained according to the service maintenance schedule. Provide technical and hands-on practical guidance, sharing your industry knowledge and experience including responsibility for the development and growth of team capability and skills. Conduct regular audits and provide ongoing expert advice to uphold workshop standards. Travel between workshop locations throughout the week (company car provided). Monitor and actively engage in preventative WHS management and compliance, communicating expectations and leading by example. What we are looking for: Relevant trade qualifications (Cert III in Heavy Vehicle Road Transport) and 5 years+ hands-on industry experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong mechanical, workshop, and safety knowledge. Current MR/HR licence (preferred). Previous experience supervising a service department for heavy haulage trucks, EWP equipment hire, or earthmoving equipment or similar (preferred but not essential). Ability to carry out vehicle inspections/maintenance (preferably in Heavy Vehicles). Able to work under pressure to agreed timeframes. Able to lead, motivate, mentor, and supervise a team to deliver exceptional outcomes. You will be required to supply your own (limited) hand tooling which is to be stored within the work vehicle provided to you. Specialist tooling is provided and available in the workshops.
