We are recruiting a Fleet Management System (FMS) Project Superintendent for the Carmichael Mine, which is a 10mtpa coal mine located north-west of Clermont in central Queensland.
ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an experienced leader in mining operations with a passion for technology? We're looking for a skilled FMS Superintendent to oversee the integration and optimisation of our Fleet Management System at our Carmichael Mine Site.
As the FMS Superintendent, you'll play a key role in deploying, managing, and continuously improving our Wenco FMS. Your efforts will ensure seamless integration into daily operations, helping to elevate productivity and safety standards across all mine departments.
Key Responsibilities of the position: Lead the deployment of the Wenco FMS, ensuring smooth integration and optimal system performance. Develop training programs, support operators, and troubleshoot system issues to ensure effective use across the site. Work closely with production, maintenance, IT, and other teams to align FMS objectives with operational goals and ensure continuous improvement. Analyse FMS data to identify performance trends, enhance fleet utilisation, and reduce operational costs. Ensure that the FMS adheres to safety protocols, proactively addressing risks and contributing to safety initiatives. Other qualifications and attributes required include: Degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, Technology, Data Science or related field. 5+ years in mining operations, with at least 3 years in a management role. 3+ years of experience with Fleet Management Systems is desired. Strong understanding of FMS technology and its application, including proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with mining operations and safety protocols, with coal mining experience highly desirable.
