Auriga Marine provides essential logistics and maritime supply chain services to numerous Northern Territory remote communities and mines including Wadeye, Arnhem Land, the Tiwi Islands, and Groote Eylandt. Auriga Marine is a growing coastal shipping company operating in Northern Territory and Western Australian waters. We are currently looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to assist with our expansion of operations in the Northern Territory.
We are looking for a mechanical/electrical tradesperson ready to move from tools into a supervisor/management role.
WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY OFFERS Stable role with a nationally growing companyPermanent – Darwin BasedWould suit mechanical/electrical tradesperson ready to move from tools into a supervisor/management role.POSITION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & RESPONSIBILITIES Skills Trade Qualified with at least 4 years' experienceDriver's licenseWhite CardFirst aid certificationGood communication skills and proficiency in email, Word, and ExcelDarwin based roleAustralian work rightsWill be advantageous: Confined space certificationWorking at heights certificationLeading hand/workshop foreman experienceRole: Co-ordinate all aspects of the weekly maintenance of the NT vessel and mobile plant fleet.Work closely with all managers, crews, and external contractors to maintain all company-owned and hired assets within the maintenance budget.Possess the ability to problem-solve and implement repair actions in a time-sensitive marine operation.Inspect and ensure all repairs are carried out to best industry standards and that equipment is safe and has minimal downtime.Ensure all maintenance records are updated in the MARAD planned maintenance system.Assist in the preparation and execution of all vessel dockings as required.Follow and comply with all company policies and WHS requirements.This role requires professionals who excel in team management with a willingness to drive safety and continuous improvement within the fleet and its personnel.
