A regional council located in central Victoria is currently seeking an experienced fleet coordinator to join their dynamic team. This will be for around 3 months with the possibility of extension and is located in Gisborne.
Your new role In your new role as fleet coordinator, you will be responsible for leading and delivering effective and efficient fleet and plant management and maintenance services.
Key Accountabilities: Coordinate procurement of fleet and plant assets. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders offering an exceptional service. Supervise and develop the fleet team, conducting performance reviews and guiding them towards success. Manage the records and reporting of the fleet vehicle's activities. Ensure the smooth running and management of the mechanical workshop. Assist the manager in the preparation and management of annual budgets and forecasting for the unit, ensuring that cost efficiency is maintained. Assist with tender/request for quote processes and evaluate and provide appropriate recommendations. What you'll need to succeed To be successful in this role, you will:
Have demonstrated experience in a similar fleet coordinator role. Comply with policies, procedures, workflows, and instructions. Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a proactive, can-do attitude. Demonstrate the ability to manage your own workload while actively leading the unit and building a positive team culture. Show experience in delivering and planning fleet and plant management on time and within budget. What you'll get in return In return for this role, you will receive:
