CDC Regional Australia Division are seeking an experienced Fleet Administration Assistant to join our team based at our Edgeworth office in Newcastle.
Reporting to the General Manager Fleet, you will beresponsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of RAD's fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained. This role presents an exciting opportunity to grow into a newly created role and operate autonomously with the support of an experienced and established Manager.
Qualifications: No formal qualifications are required, however previous experience in fleet operations will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities: Maintain fleet inventory of all vehicles and equipment operated, including records of vehicle make and model, date of purchase, warranty information, etc.Maintain records of fuel usage and kilometers for each vehicleAssist in coordinating third party repairs and maintenance for vehicles and equipment, including outstanding warranty repairsCoordinating claims for damaged vehiclesEnsure all vehicles are registered and insuredMaintain records of statutory inspections and registrations with Government authoritiesWorking with Fleet Managers to schedule staff trainingAssist to coordinate and monitor apprentice developmentPrepare reports on fleet performance and activities for managementSkills and Knowledge: Excellent written and spoken communication and interpersonal skillsWell-developed computer literacy including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and OutlookExperience in asset management would be an advantageKnowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling would be an advantageAbility to be flexible and use initiativeProblem solving, being able to think outside the squareYou will have the opportunity to complete training for the role in Sydney.
