About the Role We are looking for a skilled Chief Accountant to supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities. Responsibilities include establishing financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying, and reporting information.
Main Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the accounting department including: Month-end and year-end closing along with consolidated financial statements under IFRS. Accounts payable/receivable General ledger Bank, credit facilities, and cash reconciliation Treasury Intercompany accounts management Fixed assets VAT, income tax, and payroll tax at the regional level. Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation. Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and IFRS. Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; file annual corporate tax returns. Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinate with outside auditors and provide needed information for the annual external audit. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements. Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned. Requirements: 7+ years of proven working experience including 2 years as chief accountant, accounting supervisor, auditor, or accounting manager. Big 4 experience is a plus. Advanced computer skills in MS Office and accounting software. Ability to manipulate large amounts of data. Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise. BS degree in Accounting or Finance. Professional accounting certification is a plus. Competitive salary of $80,000 - $100,000 per year. Hybrid working environment. Paid time off.
