Due to this growth, we are seeking an experienced Training and Checking Pilot based in Brisbane. Our team of highly trained personnel provides services for dignitary transport, organ retrieval, correctional, police and other government support tasks. The successful candidate will fly single pilot and/or two-pilot aircraft under instrument flight rules (IFR) and will facilitate and conduct high quality training and checking to support QPS aviation operations. 3-year contract position based in Brisbane.Key Accountabilities:Your Key Accountabilities will include:Utilise extensive aeronautical knowledge and experience to ensure compliance with Crew Resource Management (CRM) procedures and flight and safety standards in compliance with the Fixed Wing Operations Manual suite.Administer and conduct training and checking programs as required in accordance with the Fixed Wing Training and Checking Manual.Coordinate and conduct project and training development as directed by the Head of Training and Checking.Fly single pilot and/or two-pilot aircraft under instrument flight rules (IFR), to support the Queensland Government deliver frontline services.Deploy, coordinate, undertake and support operational duties during emergencies and disasters as necessary.Perform a range of nominated support duties as directed to support the Fixed Wing operations.Mandatory requirements:Licences & Ratings:Australian Air Transport Pilots Licence (ATPL)Australian Commercial Pilots Licence (CPL)Flight Instructor Rating (FER) - Multi EngineMulti Engine Command Instrument Rating - 4 RenewalsMinimum 4000 hours total timeMinimum 3000 hours Pilot in Command (PIC)Minimum 1000 hours Night PICMinimum 1000 hours Multi-Engine PICMinimum 1000 hours Turbine PICCertifications & Documentation:Hold or be eligible to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)Current Class 1 Aviation MedicalHold a current Australian PassportHighly desirable:Licences & Ratings:Type Ratings:G280 Type RatingB360 Type RatingC208 (or similar) ExperienceSpecial Conditions:Prior to appointment, the successful applicant will be required to complete an initial psychological assessment to determine their suitability to perform the inherent occupational requirements of the role.In compliance with CASA Drug and Alcohol Management Plan requirements, the preferred applicant will be required to undergo pre-employment testing and participate in the QGAir Drug and Alcohol Management Program.The successful applicant will be required to undertake temporary touring duties at any base operated by the Aviation Capability Group.The successful applicant must be available for rostered duty within one hour of notification of required flight.The successful applicant must comply with the organisations Drug and Alcohol Management Plan.Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/571801/24Further information We are committed to building inclusive cultures in the Queensland public sector that respect and promote human rights and diversity .Please ensure you download all attachments and follow the instructions on how to apply.Documents Before applying for this vacancy please ensure you read the documents below.KeywordPlease use * for wildcard searches.Search exact phraseCheck to search for the exact phrase.
