Fixed Term Executive Director Digital Health & Innovation

The Company is seeking an Executive Director for Digital Health and Innovation to provide strategic leadership in digital innovation practices, collaborate on the management and execution of digital initiatives, and support technology advancement in a dynamic landscape. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, adoption, optimization, and management of digital initiatives that align with the strategic vision and objectives of the health service, ultimately enhancing the quality of patient care. This role involves working closely with various health departments to manage clinical, corporate, and patient management systems, as well as championing digital innovations to ensure operational effectiveness and the continual improvement of digital health capabilities.

Applicants for the Executive Director position must have a strong background in digital systems within Australian healthcare clinical settings, with a focus on driving and implementing change. Essential skills include high-level interpersonal and communication abilities, sound analytical skills, and strategic thinking. The role requires a proven track record in managing large, complex change processes, particularly in a clinical context, and experience in a multi-disciplinary organization. A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as health, economics, business management, technology management, or computer science is essential, and senior management or executive experience in public health at a state or national level is advantageous. The ideal candidate will be adept at building trust and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, service providers, and peers.
