AECI are seeking an experienced Fixed and Mobile Plant Fitter to join our field maintenance team.
Reporting to the Maintenance and Asset Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning and conducting preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
You will work on an even time 7:7 roster across various mine sites in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
Manage on-site repairs and maintenance of all AECI's fixed and mobile equipment and vehicles Diagnose technical errors related to equipment and vehicles and determine appropriate solutions in accordance with AECI's, Customer and legislative standards.
Ensuring that all statutory tests are identified, scheduled, conducted and recorded Conduct pre-starts and ensure that evidence is filed or logged Ensuring that all the maintenance requirements of all critical items are scheduled, conducted and recorded and that required parts are ordered as per AECI procurement policy Ensuring adherence to the Work, Health, Safety and Environment Management Systems Participating in mine site specific risk assessments and Take 5s when onsite in the field Efficiently plan and schedule jobs and complete related administrative tasks Regular communication with customers to ensure resolution and follow-up The Successful Applicant Will Possess:
A qualification as a mechanic or electrician with 5 years relevant proven experience as Heavy Vehicle mechanic and a familiarity with mobile tools and applications Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment Understanding of legislation relevant to the operation of a major hazard facility and the open cut mining environment is desirable Knowledge of pumping systems and major hazard facility mechanical systems is desirable Previous experience from working with explosives equipment is advantageous Ability to obtain a Queensland Explosives Security Clearance A valid HR driver's licence and forklift licence.
Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook Be a self-starter and appreciate working with a high level of autonomy A strong work ethic with a focus on customer satisfaction Excellent written and verbal skills The ability to travel between sites as required About Us:
