Reporting to the Maintenance and Asset Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning and conducting preventative and breakdown maintenance on mobile and fixed plant equipment.
You will work on an even time 7:7 roster across various mine sites in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities of the Role: Manage on-site repairs and maintenance of all AECI's fixed and mobile equipment and vehiclesDiagnose technical errors related to equipment and vehicles and determine appropriate solutions in accordance with AECI's, Customer and legislative standard.Ensuring that all statutory tests are identified, scheduled, conducted and recordedConduct pre-starts and ensure that evidence is filed or loggedEnsuring that all the maintenance requirements of all critical items are scheduled, conducted and recorded and that required parts are ordered as per AECI procurement policyEnsuring adherence to the Work, Health, Safety and Environment Management SystemsParticipating in mine site specific risk assessments and Take 5s when onsite in the fieldEfficiently plan and schedule jobs and complete related administrative tasksRegular communication with customers to ensure resolution and follow-upThe Successful Applicant Will Possess: A qualification as a mechanic or electrician with 5 years relevant proven experience as Heavy Vehicle mechanic and a familiarity with mobile tools and applicationsAbility to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipmentUnderstanding of legislation relevant to the operation of a major hazard facility and the open cut mining environment is desirableKnowledge of pumping systems and major hazard facility mechanical systems is desirablePrevious experience from working with explosives equipment is advantageousAbility to obtain a Queensland Explosives Security ClearanceA valid HR driver's licence and forklift licence.Proficient level of computer skills including MS Word, Excel and OutlookBe a self-starter and appreciate working with a high level of autonomyA strong work ethic with a focus on customer satisfactionExcellent written and verbal skillsThe ability to travel between sites as requiredAbout Us The AECI Group is 100 years young with over 7000 employees worldwide.
