About the role
Reporting to our managing partner, as a tax accountant you will be working alongside a highly experienced and supportive team.
Key requirements and responsibilities: Manage and grow the base of business, trust, superannuation and individual clients; Prepare financial statements and tax returns for all entities including companies, trusts and partnerships; Provide assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements; Prepare and review quarterly and/or monthly activity statements, Fringe Benefits Tax, Payroll Tax and Land Tax; Assist with tax planning and advisory projects for clients, including preparing reports and audits; Examine operating costs and organisations' income and expenditure, including providing taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations; Provide advice in relation to various tax matters including GST, capital gains tax and fringe benefits tax; Communicate effectively with clients and liaise with ATO and other government bodies; Assist in formulating budgetary and accounting policies; Prepare clear and concise work papers as evidence of work performed; Maintain accounting systems, and advise on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems. A successful candidate will: Have at least a bachelor degree in the area; Have at least 2 years of experience as an accountant; Be knowledgeable in Xero, Xero Practice Manager, SuiteFiles, Microsoft Office 365, Class and Affinity as well as other software packages, as required; Be team oriented, and motivated to provide superior client service and outcomes; Have a drive to learn and a strong work ethic. #J-18808-Ljbffr
