Full-time Fitters and Heavy Diesel Mechanics for a stable and premium mining company based in the Blue Mountains region.

Requires: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in heavy diesel or mining equipment maintenance Salary guide: Based on experience  Location: Blue Mountains  Your normal day includes the following duties: Fitters and Heavy Diesel Mechanics will typically begin their day with a safety briefing and a review of the equipment maintenance schedule Performing regular preventative maintenance on heavy mining equipment such as haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and drills Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on various heavy machinery for brands such as Caterpillar and Hitachi Conducting emergency repairs in the field to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation of the site Utilizing diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine systems, fuel systems, and transmissions  Collaborating with other maintenance team members and operators to ensure machines are operating efficiently and safely Maintaining accurate service records, including parts usage and work completed Adhering to safety and environmental policies, participating in risk assessments, and following mine-site protocols.
