What You'll Be Doing: Ensure safety and compliance by adhering to OHS&E policiesHandle fabrication and maintenance tasks, including all types of welding (even on hardened materials).Assist with general maintenance and repairs across the site.Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, staying on top of inspections and routine checks.Keep things running smoothly by managing daily operations and ensuring work orders are completed on time and to a high standard.Work alongside our facilities and site management teams to hit key targets.Offer support to fellow maintenance staff and oversee subcontractors when required.Ensure everything complies with laws, regulations, codes, and BGIS systems.What's in It for You: A supportive, team-focused work environment.Opportunities for career growth and skill development.A chance to work with a skilled and passionate crew in Southport, QLDWhat We're Looking For: Technical qualifications in Fabrication, Welding, Boiler Making, or Plumbing Services.Hands-on experience in a property or corporate environment.Strong business sense with a good understanding of finances.Competency in tools like Word, Excel, and Outlook.Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems).Nice to Have: Knowledge of other trades and services (Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing).Certifications like Elevated Work Platform (EVP) or Forklift Licence.What We Value: A customer-focused, proactive attitude, with the ability to work well with others.Integrity, accountability, and strong problem-solving skills.Effective communicator, always looking to improve and learn.Why BGIS?
