Our Opportunity
Galintel, which is part of the NEPEAN family of companies, proudly produces lintels that are smarter, stronger and more durable right here in Australia and have done so for the last 40 years. This position will join the Coffs Harbour, NSW maintenance team on a full-time basis and will focus on:
Strategy: Leverage your expertise to assist in the development of efficient maintenance planning and scheduling.
Execution: Follow set maintenance routines and regular upkeep of all machinery in the workshop, while meeting deadlines and producing high quality work.
Culture: Work collaboratively and safely with various workshop teams to ensure the best results for the business.
Innovation: Offer insights to ensure more effective production processes and best practices are applied.
Other Key responsibilities include:
Interpreting drawings to understand the location, position and dimensions of orders.
Using a variety of metal working tools and equipment to cut, drill, curve and twist several types of metals and other materials to specifications.
About you
You will be a:
Skilled Professional: Having completed Cert III Fabrication Trade – Heavy or similar Fitter qualifications with previous experience as part of a maintenance team.
Subject Matter Expert: Strong understanding of welding best practices with working knowledge of computerised drawings and how to interpret.
Equipment/Tools Guru: You will be comfortable using a variety of machinery and tools including lathes, grinders, overhead cranes and hand tools.
Strong Communicator: You have the ability to raise questions or point out issues when required. You will also enjoy a team environment where everyone has their part to play.
Relentless Bias to Action: With a strong drive to get things done on time and to the best of your ability.
