As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking a skilled Fitter & Turner to join their friendly and professional team.In this position, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth functioning of laboratory equipment.
You will be responsible for preventative maintenance activities, troubleshooting issues, and implementing efficient corrective maintenance strategies.
Your expertise in pneumatics, pumps and valves, conveyor systems, and automated lines will be instrumental in optimising laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing testing operations.Conduct preventive maintenance to minimise equipment downtime and maximise operational efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute projects.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including equipment maintenance logs, work orders, and inventory management.Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend upgrades or modifications to enhance laboratory efficiency and safety.Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations and company policies during maintenance activities.Minimum Requirements:Proven experience in maintenance roles, preferably within a laboratory or industrial environment.Strong experience working with pneumatic equipment.Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex systems.Effective organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and compliance.Familiarity with laboratory equipment used in agricultural product testing is highly desirable.A competitive salary package, a collaborative work environment, health & wellbeing program, clean temperate work site, fully equipped workshop, and opportunities for professional growth are on offer within this expanding organisation.
