The Role We are seeking Expressions of Interest from Mechanical Maintainers who are interested in Diesel pump Maintenance in Mount Isa Mines in a processing environment.This role will see you become an integral part of the maintenance team responsible for servicing and Maintaining the Mount Isa Tailings Pond Dewatering pumps on 7/7 roster based in Mount Isa Reporting to the Operations Supervisors, you will be responsible for ensuring our operational pumping requirements meet site standards of efficiency, quality, and safety. The successful candidate responsibilities:Provision of a safe and reliable Pumping Systems through the execution of mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs, planned and opportune maintenance Preventative and corrective maintenance for the Tailings Pumping Assets. Supporting Tailings construction team with Equipment Diagnosing and Repairs to the Construction fleet as required, Conduct routine inspections of Pumping assets and determine repair action when required Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures Utilize SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly, and completed to the relevant standard / specification Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects – increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost The successful candidate will ideally possess: Trade qualification – Fitter (Mechanical) essential Current manual driver's license (MR/HR would be advantage) Experience within mining/heavy industry environment. Sound computer skills. A demonstrated commitment to safety A self-motivated attitude and enjoy working in small yet highly productive team The ability to adapt to change in duties from day to day Current Forklift ticket Current Dogger ticket Current LBG crane ticket Current EWP ticket Training and upskilling including – Rigging/Dogging, Elevated Work Platforms, Overhead Cranes and Forklift
