A great opportunity for a Fitter to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Edinburgh RAAF Base, Adelaide.
As a Fitter, you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware.
As a qualified Fitter and Armourer or Fitter and Turner, it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
$46.22 an hour, inclusive of allowancesWork 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on FridaysTraining & Upskilling providedRelocation assistance for the right candidateWork on unique Defence vehicle and assets17.5% Annual Leave LoadingAll tools, PPE and Uniforms providedOn-site ParkingAbout the role Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armamentsSafely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required partsCertify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purposeProvide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with Armory maintenance.
