Fitter

Programmed Trades team are currently recruiting experienced Fitters work with a range of clients located in Melbourne's North. Positions are for an immediate start with availability across Day shifts (possibility of other roles being rotating and night shift). Key Requirements:

Experience in machinery maintenance and preventative breakdowns
Respond to breakdown calls in a timely and effective manner
Experience in problem solving and fault resolution
Carry out plant and equipment repair, modification, and construction as required.
Attend breakdowns, identifying root cause and countermeasures to eliminate recurring issues.
Diagnosis and fault finding of malfunctioning mechanical systems, equipment and components
High level of communication with the production staff, supervisors and management team
Good communication skills

About you:

Trades qualification (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade)
Experience in a FMCG industry
Strong mechanical aptitude
Restricted Electrical Workers Licence (D Licence) is an advantage
Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
High risk tickets are advantageous
Demonstrated commitment to safety
Ability to prioritise responsibilities and take initiative
Be self-motivated and reliable
Experience with a maintenance management system & documenting of tasks
