We are dedicated to providing our employees with a dynamic and secure work atmosphere, accompanied by an array of attractive benefits including: Base salary starting from $83,469.56 + on-call allowance + Sunwater housing + super 12.75% superannuation Access to TOIL 17.5% leave loading Genuine emphasis on work/life balance Access to Sunwater's MyBenefits hosted by Reward Gateway The role: You will undertake routine mechanical preventative and corrective maintenance, installation and modification work and troubleshooting tasks to restore pumping systems, valves and equipment associated with the operation of pipelines and bulk water storages.  Other responsibilities will include: Undertaking meter reading and meter maintenance activities Gathering information from and monitor performance of plant and equipment to ensure its safe, reliable and efficient operation Identifying, reporting and correcting workplace hazards and defects in a timely manner Possessing knowledge of pump operating principles and practices Managing contractor activities in conjunction with supervisors to provide information and safe access to assets Undertaking routine operations and surveillance activities Please note that due to the location of this role being at Eungella Dam, Sunwater housing will be offered. Please also note you will be required to work a 1 in 2 roster which will require weekend work. You will bring: We are seeking an experienced tradesperson with the ability to participate actively in a team environment. You will be responsible for the execution of mechanical, maintenance and operational activities to ensure assets are maintained. You will perform the duties of a high voltage switching operator's assistant upon attainment of competency and to perform isolations for mechanical access.  In addition, you will have:- Qualifications as a Fitter, Fitter-Mechanic or other suitable trade Confined Space; working at heights and elevating work platforms certificates, or ability to obtain them Dual trade qualifications i.e., Instrumentation, Mechanic, Boilermaker or similar will be highly regarded Heavy rigid licence and other equipment licences, e.g. Forklift, EWP will be highly regarded We strongly encourage applications from candidates who are seeking flexibility in their work arrangements.
