BT Personnel Pty Ltd are seeking to fill the above position on behalf of Byrne Trailers Pty Ltd.Byrne Trailers is a leading manufacturer of Heavy Vehicle Transport Equipment with its Head Office based in Wagga Wagga NSW and a division in Toowoomba QLD.We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a Fitter (General) with a Certificate III Qualification to join our team in our Wagga Wagga Factory. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be required to work in a fast-paced factory environment whilst meeting strict deadlines.You Will Be Responsible For Fitting and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.Final assembly and fit-out of new heavy transport trailers.Abiding by safety Policies and Procedures including hazard reporting, risk assessments, participation in toolbox meetings, OH&S committee meetings and general housekeeping of work environment.Qualifications And ExperienceCertificate III in Engineering (Fitter General) or equivalent.Experience with hydraulics, air and electrical systems.Demonstrated practical experience in the use of hand and power tools.At least 2 years experience in an automotive or related field.Knowledge of standard practices, tools and materials.Demonstrated commitment to OH&S, Risk Management and awareness of occupational hazards and appropriate precautionary measures.SkillsCommitted to quality control and an eye for detail.Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.Strong work ethic and commitment to teamwork as well as the ability to work independently.Ability to work well under pressure and to tight production deadlines.What We Offer4 day work week and the ability to work overtime.Above Award wages and conditions.
