Byrne Trailers is a leading manufacturer of Heavy Vehicle Transport Equipment with its Head Office based in Wagga Wagga NSW and a division in Toowoomba QLD.
We are looking for:
We are seeking a Fitter (General) with a Certificate III Qualification to join our team in our Wagga Wagga Factory. Reporting to the Factory Manager, you will be required to work in a fast-paced factory environment whilst meeting strict deadlines.
You will be responsible for:
· fitting and assembling metal parts and subassemblies to fabricate production machines and other equipment.
· Final assembly and fit out of new heavy transport trailers.
· Abide by safety Policies and Procedures including hazard reporting, risk assessments, participation in toolbox meetings, OH&S committee meetings and general housekeeping of work environment.
To be successful you will have:
Qualifications and Experience
· Certificate III in Engineering (Fitter General) or equivalent.
· Experience with hydraulics, air and electrical systems.
· Demonstrated practical experience in the use of hand and power tools.
· At least 2 years experience in an automotive or related field.
· Knowledge of standard practices, tools and materials.
· Demonstrated commitment to OH&S, Risk Management and awareness of occupational hazards and appropriate precautionary measures.
Skills:
· Committed to quality control and an eye for detail.
· Well developed communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong work ethic and commitment to team work as well as the ability to work independently.
· Ability to work well under pressure and to tight production deadlines.
