A great opportunity for a Fitter to join our fully geared Defence Maintenance Contract team based at Edinburgh RAAF Base, Adelaide As a Fitter you will use your highly detailed workmanship to inspect, repair, and recondition military hardware.
As a qualified Fitter and Armourer or Fitter and Turner, it will be your responsibility to provide direct embedded support and teamwork with Defence and Defence training activities to ensure hardware is functional and training objectives are achieved.
Benefits $46.22 an hour, inclusive of allowances Work 38 hours per week Monday to Friday and finish at 12 pm on Fridays Training & Upskilling provided Relocation assistance for the right candidate Work on unique Defence vehicle and assets 17.5% Annual Leave Loading All tools, PPE and Uniforms provided On-site Parking About the role Perform maintenance, servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on military hardware and Defence armaments Safely operate machinery to repair, manufacture or modify required parts Certify plant and equipment as serviceable and fit for purpose Provide occasional support to various Defence Bases across the state assisting with Armory maintenance.
