First Nations Strategic Consultant Be a key player in driving reconciliation and cultural integrity within organisations as YarnnUp First Nations Strategic Consultant. Position Purpose
As our First Nations Strategic Consultant, you'll play a central role in guiding organisations to create lasting, positive impact for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
Working closely with client organisations, you'll help them develop and implement Reconciliation Action Plans (RAPs), First Nations engagement frameworks, and impactful strategies in employment, procurement, and community engagement.
Your cultural insight and strategic expertise will empower our clients to build strong, sustainable connections with First Nations communities and foster meaningful change.
Key Responsibilities RAP Implementation and Advisory Support
Lead and support organisations through the creation and evolution of their RAPs, ensuring alignment with corporate frameworks and social impact goals.
Conduct regular meetings (both virtual and in-person) with RAP working groups to review progress, tackle challenges, and strategise next steps.
Offer on-demand consulting to divisional leads and teams, assisting them in operationalising RAP initiatives across their business.
Develop resources—such as guides, business cases, and frameworks—that help clients implement best practices in RAPs tailored to their industry.Strategic Framework Development
Create and deploy First Nations Engagement Frameworks that resonate with clients' strategic goals and community values.
Support First Nations Investment Strategies by advising on culturally competent and impactful investments.
Facilitate stakeholder workshops and consultations to co-design strategies that are respectful and meaningful to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.Employment and Procurement Strategies
Guide clients in creating employment pathways that foster meaningful opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Develop procurement strategies that promote engagement with Indigenous businesses, enhancing supply chain diversity.
Produce toolkits to help clients align employment and procurement policies with RAP commitments and organisational values.Community Engagement and Relationship Building
Build and nurture respectful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, ensuring culturally safe and impactful client engagement.
Organise and participate in community sessions to gather insights and refine client approaches for optimal outcomes.
Engage in continuous knowledge-sharing with communities and stakeholders to improve client strategies.Resource Development and Best Practice Insights
Research, develop, and share materials such as strategic guides, frameworks, and checklists to ensure industry-leading RAP practices.
Establish metrics and evaluation methods for clients to assess RAP and program impacts.
