About the role Mercy Community Family and Child Connect (FaCC) program has an opportunity for a motivated and passionate First Nations Family Response Facilitator to join the team.
This is a Permanent Full-time role, located in Caboolture .
You will engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families within the Moreton Bay region.
$85,126 - $91,588 annually (SCHADS L4) plus superannuation plus generous salary packaging available What you'll be doing Assess information provided in a referral, engage with families with multiple and complex needs and provide information, advice, and referrals Provide services to the Moreton Bay region for the Family and Child Connect team Engage with families and a wide variety of service providers to facilitate vital connections to supports for those families in our communities About you As the successful applicant, you will possess: To perform this role, it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Aboriginal person and/or Torres Strait Islander person and it is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) Either: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Behavioural Sciences, Psychology or relevant discipline (highly advantageous); OR Extensive demonstrated experience in a family support service position Previous experience working effectively across a range of service providers, both government and non-government, to negotiate high quality service provision to families who have complex needs Queensland Provisional Green or above Driver Licence A positive notice in the Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and the ability to obtain any other legislatively required personal history screening as required Evidence of current vaccination against whooping cough or willingness to obtain Why Mercy Community Mercy Community is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation, compassionately inspiring and supporting people to live hopeful, connected lives within inclusive communities.

Mercy Community has an active Cultural Connections Leadership Group that consists of First Nations staff from across our service delivery and corporate streams who directly support the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and Mercy Community's Mission and Values.
The Cultural Connections Leadership group also advise on the operational effectiveness of Mercy Community by reviewing policies and procedures and supporting systems and specific programs that advocate for the health and well-being of Mercy's First Nations staff members, First Nations clients, First Nations stakeholders, and the broader First Nations communities.
The Cultural Connections Leadership group offers support to First Nations applicants throughout recruitment and employment process including First Nations representatives on interview panels, cultural peer support, cultural communities of practice, and connection to other First Nations staff at Mercy.
