Be a part of the change by becoming part of the referral networks that operate in the communities to ensure improved, engaged, and inclusive services to First Nations people. Working within a dynamic First Nations team across the region, this role will work collaboratively to build internal education programs. We provide cultural supervision to all our First Nations staff with a supervisor who is culturally aware. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE: Assist First Nations people to access Interrelate services through creating good working relationships, establishing referral pathways, developing innovative strategies, networking and promotion and enhancement of Interrelate Services. Identify community needs for building stronger family relationships including support after relationship breakdowns, supporting parenting arrangements, counselling for couples and individuals, youth mental health support, family group conferencing and many more Organise group seminars, community events, forums, expo's and workshops to support First Nations families through the challenges of their relationships  Facilitate Aboriginal Building Connections training for the community Case Management Support This role will be based in Dubbo however some travel may also be required to Orange and the surrounding communities. Due to the travel required for this role, when a pool car is not available it will require the use of your own personal vehicle. Kilometres will be reimbursed when using your own personal vehicle.   This role is a permanent part time position, working 30 hours per week, with days of work negotiable. The hourly rate for this position is $51.32 per hour, plus 11% superannuation. Please note that you may also be required to work some after hours and weekends to attend community events from time to time. Kutanya is made up of First Nations employees and other employees, including the CEO. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: Aboriginality or Torres Strait Islander background (Interrelate considers that being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is a genuine occupational qualification under section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW) Experience in community work / family mediation; particularly with First Nations Families and children and/or qualifications / certificates in Community Development, social science, social work or related fields. Experience in Case Management or willingness to develop these skills.
