From marketing and leasing discussions, accounts, to maintenance and inspections, to negotiating you will quickly develop an understanding of a unique area of property operations in demand around the world. Working in commercial property is a great start or continuation to your career in business as you deal with people and contracts ranging from small and medium business through to Australia's largest companies.
Previous commercial property experience will be viewed favorably, but is not essential. Past experience dealing with buildings or trades/builders is also useful prior experience. Perhaps you have a trade background yourself and are looking for a change of path into a corporate environment.
The ability to demonstrate a high level of interpersonal communication with clients and problem-solving capacity is critical.
