Join Team St John and make a difference to people's lives through our multiple community, charitable and commercial programs.About the RoleWe are seeking dynamic and experienced Full-Time Trainer & Assessors in Rockhampton down to Wide-Bay to join our team at St John Ambulance Qld; a trusted provider of high-quality First Aid training across Queensland.As a Trainer & Assessor at St John Qld, you will be responsible for delivering training, conducting assessments, and providing related education services. You will have the opportunity to educate our students via public courses at St John venues and on-site industry courses on client premises. While the primary focus will be on First Aid training, you will also have the opportunity to deliver Mental Health and/or WHS training if qualified.About YouThe ideal candidate will:Be a professional trainer with a sound first aid and healthcare skill set, and a flair for training.Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (or equivalent) plus have current knowledge, skills and experience in the VET sector and relevant industry background.At minimum, hold HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and be willing to acquire accreditation to deliver specialist or advanced courses such as Education & Care, LVR, Advanced First Aid, Advanced Resuscitation and Occupational Skill Set.Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering first aid training.Possess (or have the ability to readily obtain) a current Drivers Licence, access to independent transport, a Working with Children positive notice blue card or exemption card, and a National Police Check.Provide evidence of holding full COVID-19 vaccination.Conditions of EmploymentApplicationsSt John Ambulance Qld employs on merit but also values diversity in their workforce to reflect the diversity profile of their community and client base.Join our network of St John trainers who deliver a wide range of first aid, WHS and mental health training across Queensland and nationally.
