About the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Part-Time Trainer & Assessor in Townsville to join our team at St John Ambulance Qld, a trusted provider of high-quality First Aid training across Queensland.
As a Trainer & Assessor, you will be responsible for delivering training, conducting assessments, and providing related education services.
You will educate students via public courses and on-site industry courses.
The primary focus will be on First Aid training, with opportunities to deliver Mental Health and/or WHS training if qualified.
About You The ideal candidate will:
Be available to work 3 days per week (22.8 hours per week).
Specific days will be per the Training Schedule.Have a sound first aid and healthcare skill set, and a flair for training.Hold a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) (or equivalent) with current knowledge and experience in the VET sector.Hold HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and be willing to acquire accreditation for specialist or advanced courses.Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering first aid training.Have (or ability to obtain) a current Drivers Licence, access to independent transport, a Working with Children positive notice blue card or exemption card, and a National Police Check.Provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination.Conditions of Employment St John Ambulance Qld values diversity in their workforce.
