Joining Fortescue as Senior Engineer – Fire Systems for our Asset & Materials Management department and reporting to the Superintendent SMP Engineering, you will provide a key role in coordinating insurance audits for the Risk and Assurance team with Facility Management. This position also supports the development of Engineering Standards and Procedures with a focus on identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate insurance audits for the Risk and Assurance team working with site Facility Management.Interfacing with our Risk and Insurance teams to coordinate responses to recommendations from our insurers and supporting with technical advice as required.Providing progress reporting to the Risk and Assurance team and tracking the progress of recommended actions subsequent to audit findings.Overseeing the development of Engineering Standards and Procedures to support Fire Systems objectives.Auditing operations to ensure compliance of standards and procedures and identifying gaps and opportunities for improvement.Supporting the Capital Projects team with ensuring their compliance to standards and specifications.Qualifications and ExperienceSolid experience as a Fire Systems Engineer or similar in an industrial setting, preferably within the mining industry.Sound knowledge of Australian/industry standards and regulations, WHS legislation and best practice.Experience in design and project delivery with advanced time management, planning, scheduling and coordination skills.Ability to influence and engage stakeholders, both internal and external to Fortescue.Well-developed communication, interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills.Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of software.Our Commitment Fortescue celebrates individual strengths and team members are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
