Fire Safety and Security Officer - Talent PoolRockhampton Hospital are on the hunt for Fire Safety and Security Officers to join their dynamic team!
As a Fire Safety and Security Officer you will be responsible for providing facility, building and asset security, including protecting the personal safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public whilst on health services land.
About the role:Conduct both vehicle mounted and foot patrols of all internal and external areas of the Rockhampton based facilities to ensure a safe and secure environment for all staff, visitors and patients.Maintain a positive strong security presence in and around the Rockhampton based facilities including regular patrols and welfare checks as appropriate.Provide staff escorts at shift changes or as requested and maintain the functionality or service providing CCTV and its dispersal as per Operating Procedures.Complete lock up checks of all buildings and internal and external areas on the Rockhampton based facilities at allocated times.Provide areas access for staff throughout the facilities when appropriate.Control conduct and traffic management on Health Service land as per Part 8 Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011.Emergency response – responding to fire protection, duress alarms, building alarm systems and calls for an emergency response as per Code Black and Red Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures.Responding to calls for assistance and the management of aggressive patients and visitors on health services land as per the aggressive behaviour management protocols and methodology within response time requirements.About you:Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a Certificate II or III in Security Operations and Class 1 Security License QLD is highly desirable.Proof of identity documents: Candidates must provide certified copies of requested proof of identity documents for the purposes of General Criminal History and National Police Certificate checks.What we offer:Salary information: An hourly rate between $41.84 - $43.86 p.h.
