This position is responsible for the design of Fire Services projects both locally and on a national level. The successful candidate shall have between 1-3 years industry experience and be able to design and deliver a project in Revit under direction from senior staff.
The successful candidate will be working closely with engineers from other building services disciplines and with the respective BIM teams to coordinate multi-disciplined projects on which they are working.
The successful candidate shall hold Australian Citizenship and be willing to complete a security clearance application.

As a Fire Protection Designer, you will support the success of ACOR, both locally and on a national level. The ideal candidate would have exposure to building services industry with experience in Fire Protection Services systems design, both willing to and capable of learning efficient methods of producing elegant design solutions to satisfy ever growing Clients' expectations.
You will be working on a large range of projects, helping experienced Fire Protection Engineers to produce design documentation packages (drawings, model, schematics, typical details, etc.), learning better industry practices and gaining valuable experience in this specialised field of consulting services.
Duties & Responsibilities Completing wet and dry Fire Services design packages including documentation or drawings and specifications for a range of projects under direction from a senior engineerCoordinating and carrying out project specific Revit drafting/modelling servicesAssisting in developing modelling operations and standards as required, ensuring efficient design and implementation of projects utilising the Revit platformDocument control managementLiaising with clients, architects, builders and contractorsAttending meetingsSkills & Experience Demonstrated analytical skills and desire to enhance themDemonstrated capability of working within the building services consultancy or within trade contractor's environment, keeping multiple balls up in the air simultaneouslyDemonstrated genuine interest in learning Fire Protection Services designDemonstrated genuine interest in learning Revit (or any other suitable 3D modelling package in the future)Exposure to Fire Protection Services design would be an advantageKnowledge and proficiency in REVIT MEP would be an advantage.Holding an Engineering Degree is a distinct advantageYou will be provided with strong support and mentoring from Fire Protection Engineers, as well as from our BIM Team.
