Finch Restorations focuses on classic vehicle restoration and preservation, with a passionate, crafts-based team environment that brings history back to life.Why Join Finch Restorations?Historic Craftsmanship: Be part of Australia's oldest and largest vehicle restoration business, preserving automotive history with passion and precision.Endless Variety: Work on everything from motorcycles to trucks, tackling vehicles 30–120 years old in all stages of repair, restoration, and customisation.Supportive Environment: Join a multi-skilled team that values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a shared love of classic vehicles.Flexibility: Enjoy a good work-life balance with early/late start options, 9-day fortnights, and the flexibility to work from our Adelaide Hills workshops or our Hindmarsh branch.About the RoleWe seek a passionate, experienced, and qualified 'Old School' Mechanic to join our team to repair and maintain vehicles of 30-120 years of age.Duties include:Repair and maintain vehicles spanning decades of motoring history.Inspect, diagnose, and restore engines, driveline components, and other mechanical systems.Organise the disassembly of vehicle parts for labelling and proper storage until reassembly.Apply your skills to reverse engineering, machining, and fabricating hard-to-find parts.Work on pre-1980s (pre-computer age) vehicles, applying traditional and hands-on methods.Test, tune, and refine completed projects with pride and precision.Travel to various sites for inspections and perform in-situ repairs as needed.Prepare technical reports as part of the restoration process.About YouYour skills, experience, and qualifications will include:Mechanics with significant experience (20–40+ years encouraged to apply).Skills in motorcycles, trucks, auto-electrical, engines, white-metal bearings, or EV conversions highly valued.Knowing what points are and being comfortable working on non-computerized vehicles.Experience restoring classic and/or vintage cars, trucks, or motorcycles (highly desirable).Being an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident, a New Zealand citizen, or holding a valid visa with permission to work in Australia.Personal AttributesIf you are passionate about restoring cars, have an eye for detail, take pride in your work, can work as part of a team, and have a positive "can do" attitude with appropriate trade experience as a motor mechanic, then we are keen to hear from you.To ApplyPlease submit your Resume via email to ****** Restorations - Over 55 years in the Fine Art of Automobiles
