To support this vision, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial & Statutory Accounting Manager to join our Financial Services team.
This pivotal role will lead the statutory accounting function, ensuring financial governance, compliance, and the delivery of high-quality reporting that supports Council's strategic objectives.As the Financial & Statutory Accounting Manager, you will oversee the preparation of statutory financial reports, including Annual Financial Statements, and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, the NSW Local Government Code of Accounting Practice, and other regulatory requirements.
You will also manage internal controls, support external and internal audits, and contribute to Council's Long-Term Financial Plan.This role is critical in maintaining financial stability by ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial operations, timely reporting, and adherence.
