With six offices nationally and partner firms in more than 145 markets, wherever you want to go, we can take you there.About this roleBe part of our Sydney Private Business Tax and advisory Division as a Financial Statement Reporting - Associate and play a vital role in delivering precise and compliant financial statements. Work alongside dedicated team members and esteemed clients to ensure the highest standards in financial reporting.Key responsibilitiesProviding accounting support to PBTA team and clients in applying specific accounting standards.Assist National Technical Accounting Head/Lead - PBTA in performing technical accounting research.Ensure financial statements meet regulatory requirements and best practice.Resource for PBTA team members seeking guidance on accounting matters.Compile GPFS and SPFS.Ability to apply Australian Accounting Standards applicable to clients' businesses and industries in which clients operate.Ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.Collaborate with the PBTA team and clients for annual GPFS preparation including planning, and identification and addressing of accounting issues.Skills & experienceBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related fieldCA/CPA preferred.At least 2 years of experience in auditing and preparing GPFS and SPFS.In-depth knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and the Corporations Act.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and presentation abilities.Ability to learn and adapt to changing regulations and accounting standards.Experience with financial statement preparation software (e.g., Acurri).If you're interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.Reach your remarkableAt Grant Thornton we do things differently because we understand that when you strive for better and care about what you do remarkable things are possible.
