As part of the team that manages the City's financial functions you will assist in the preparation, review and monitoring of budgets, team plan and long term financial plans.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, statutory and financial requirements, you will be utilising your knowledge and experience across a diverse range of functions.
You will have plenty of opportunity to showcase your experience in some (possibly all) of the following areas – cost and project accounting, financial reconciliations, budget reporting and reviews, asset accounting and accounts payable/receivable.
You will have a high level of knowledge of contemporary accounting principles and practices and have developed experience in a financial administration position with a commercial or local government authority with exposure to functions relevant to this position.

Experience in a financial administration position with exposure to budget preparation, budget management, accounts payable/receivable project costing and month end processes.
Ability to provide finance-related advice and effectively communicate accounting concepts to non-finance staff.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously A high level of numeracy and computer literacy with developed Microsoft Excel skills is essential.
