We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Reporting Manager to ensure compliance with all accounting standards and tax legislative requirements.
As part of the Finance leadership team, you will provide direction to the External Reporting team and broader Finance team, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Operations & Reporting Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure the accuracy of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain asset registers.Manage tax obligations, including the preparation and reporting for FBT, GST, and monthly BAS.Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring timely provision of documentation and resolution of management letter points.Support treasury management, including daily bank reconciliations, cash flow forecasting, and budgeted cash flow management.Budgeting & Performance Management Collaborate with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to prepare balance sheet-related budgets.Preparation of cash flow forecasts.Regularly report on function performance, KPIs, and business metrics to the Head of Finance.Compliance & Governance Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and internal policies.Maintain strong governance over financial processes, ensuring appropriate controls and compliance.Oversee the development and maintenance of financial policies.Project & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives in financial reporting processes and systems.Lead department projects to ensure delivery within agreed timeframes and quality standards.Regularly review business processes to identify efficiencies and implement improvements.Leadership & People Management Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing External Reporting team.Provide coaching and performance management to direct reports.Foster a collaborative and positive team culture, ensuring open access to management and promoting professional development.Stakeholder & Relationship Management Develop and maintain strong relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other key stakeholders.Act as a key point of contact for financial reporting matters across the organisation. CA/CPA qualification with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Proven leadership experience, managing high-performing teams.Strong working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards.Experience in developing strong working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.Why Join Us?
