The Financial Reporting Manager will play a crucial role in supporting the Australian Financial Reporting team, with monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reporting, regulatory and tax reporting.What you'll do:As a Financial Reporting Manager, your role will be balanced between high level operational execution and strategic direction of business function activities.
You will be responsible for managing new client onboarding process as it relates to financial reporting and tax.
Your ability to establish a level of client knowledge will be crucial in ensuring all requirements are met and allowing the team to build relationships further.
You will also have the opportunity to provide hands-on training to staff and contribute to budget management processes.Conduct performance management and career development processesMaintain risk management and compliance programs for assigned groupManage the Financial Reporting for a number of Client Accounting groupsDevelop goals, organise work, set short-term priorities, monitor all activitiesProvide advice to internal clients on business trends, issues, operating environment changes and strategyInteract with various business areas to determine automation needs and provide ongoing systems supportWhat you bring:As a Financial Reporting Manager, you bring extensive experience working within a Custodian, Superannuation fund or Investment Manager accounting/tax team.
Your technical understanding of accounting and tax concepts as they relate to Managed Investment Schemes (MIS's) and Superannuation funds will be invaluable.
Your leadership skills will enable you to manage your team effectively towards achieving set goals.
Your excellent communication skills will allow you to advise businesses management effectively.Analytical and problem-solving skillsIn-depth Functional/Industry KnowledgeUnderstanding of unit pricing and unit registry conceptsLeadership and organisational skills required to develop periodic goals and manage team membersExtensive experience working within a Custodian, Superannuation fund or Investment Manager accounting/tax teamTechnical understanding of accounting and tax concepts as they relate to Managed Investment Schemes (MIS's) and Superannuation fundsWhat sets this company apart:This is an organisation that values service, expertise, and integrity.
