Financial Reporting Manager As our Financial Reporting Manager, you will be responsible for: Preparation of year-end statutory accounts (at least 5 sets of year-end accounts) and half-year accounts (where required), requiring knowledge of consolidation principles.
Management of the statutory audit process to enable timely review and approval of the statutory accounts.
Assisting with documentation of accounting positions, after considering the requirements of accounting standards (including, but not limited to, acquisition and disposal accounting, leases (AASB 16), impairment, provisions and hedge accounting).
Collaborating with the Tax Manager in the preparation of workpapers to enable completion of regulatory requirements (including, but not limited to, tax effect accounting for statutory accounts, income tax returns, GST/BAS returns, payroll tax submissions and FBT returns).
Partnering with other Head Office departments to help them understand and manage their P&Ls, including monthly analysis and reporting of actual head office costs against budget.
Building annual Head Office budgets.
Preparation of monthly statutory financial reporting for the Board as required.
Skills & Attributes Familiarity with the preparation of General Purpose Financial Statements (including notes) and tax schedules.
Familiarity with the documentation requirements of the audit process.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to apply IFRS and accounting standards to solve complex accounting issues.
Experience in use of accounting applications and ability to adapt to new systems.
Advanced Microsoft suite skills (especially Excel).
Team leadership and people management skills.
Qualifications & Experience Qualified CA or CPA Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally in one of the Big 4 accounting firms.
